Growing up in Asheville, NC, I developed an early love of drawing and dance. I received my undergraduate education at UNC Asheville, where I completed a BFA in drawing in 1994. From 1988 until 1994, I also danced in the modern dance company, Wall St. DanceWorks and did performance art pieces. Over the next ten years, I gained a MS in Information Science from UNC Chapel Hill, worked in the digital media/design field in Chapel Hill, NC, New York City and Asheville, NC. I also made art - including street art, drawings and performance. I began exhibiting my work in 2004 after completing a semester in an MFA program. I currenrly live in Asheville, NC where I make art, teach in the digital media program at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College and live with my husband and two dogs.
